IEBC: what Civicore is — and is not.
The IEBC is Kenya's electoral management body. Civicore is independent civic-tech that models the same counties, constituencies, and wards — and does not count votes, register voters, or announce results.

Kenya's electoral map — 47 counties, 290 constituencies, and 1,448 wards — is defined through IEBC boundary processes. Civicore uses that hierarchy so campaigns organise on official units.
Civicore does not adjudicate nominations, manage the voters register, print ballots, or replace any IEBC system. If a process belongs to the Commission, it stays with the Commission.
Our election-week protocol is a product integrity mode, not an IEBC procedure. We disable amplification mechanics and tighten audit posture on our own platform.
Civicore is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a vendor of the IEBC. 'IEBC-aware' means we model Kenya's official electoral geography.
